Do you really need to pull that tooth? We know that tooth extraction sounds unappealing, but sometimes it is best for your oral and overall health. Let our experienced dentist take a look at your teeth to determine if this is the best course of action. We work on patients of all ages.

You may need a tooth extraction if you have:

  • Overcrowded teeth
  • A badly damaged or decayed tooth
  • An impacted tooth
  • An infection incurable by root canal
  • Severe tooth pain due to exposed nerves
  • Loose teeth from periodontal disease
  • A compromised immune system

Talk with our Kennewick dentist at (509) 380-9046 to see if you need a tooth extraction.

Meet Dr. Morgan

Our dentist is a graduate of the prestigious University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He chose to pursue dentistry because it provides interaction with a wide group of people. He aims to serve his community with trustworthy, affordable dentistry. Grandridge Dental is made up of a caring staff that has your best interests at heart. We want to put you at ease and give you a satisfactory experience.

Anesthesia & Tooth Extraction

Pulling a tooth can be painful without proper anesthesia. Before extraction, we numb the affected area so that your nerves are dulled. This allows us to remove the tooth without discomfort. In some cases, dentists will use a stronger general anesthetic for you to sleep for the procedure. Talk with our Kennewick teeth extraction team to decide which anesthesia is best for you.

Your Recovery Process

Once your teeth are removed, we will send you home to recover. Your empty sockets will be packed with gauze to absorb any blood and protect them from painful contact. Normally, these pads need to stay in your mouth for three to four hours. Our dentist will give you specific instructions based on your individual case.

We may prescribe painkillers to help you through the next several days. You will want to limit your physical activities and take time to rest. Applying ice to the affected area for 10 minutes at a time can reduce any swelling. We recommend eating soft foods such as soup, applesauce, and yogurt, but do not use a straw.

Let our Kennewick teeth extraction dentist assist you today. Reach out to our office at (509) 380-9046.
