Lost or missing teeth have a tremendously negative impact on both a person’s appearance and their overall oral health. Teeth are essential for routine tasks such as chewing and speaking, and over time their absence can lead to unwanted issues including the deterioration of the jawbone, a loss of facial structure, severe bite imbalances and undesired tooth shifts.

Dentures are used by patients missing some or all of their teeth to prevent these issues and to achieve the complete function and appearance of natural-looking, healthy teeth. At Grandridge Dental, we are proud to offer patients fixed dentures and removable dentures with denture stabilization implants.

A denture is comprised of prosthetic artificial teeth that are attached to a gum-colored base. Dentures are worn inside the mouth, providing the wearer with the function and appearance of healthy, natural teeth. Although dentures may take some getting used to, over time, they begin to feel completely natural and comfortable to wear every day. The experts at Grandridge Dental recommend the use of fixed dentures or removable dentures with denture stabilization implants because of their superior strength and stability over traditional suction-based dentures.

Fixed Dentures

Fixed Dentures are permanently held in place inside the user’s mouth using four to six dental implants. They cannot be removed except through oral surgery. Because the special dental implants function in the same way as natural tooth roots, most people with fixed dentures say that they feel exactly like their original teeth. Fixed dentures are a popular choice for patients missing some or all of their teeth because of their unparalleled strength and stability when talking and eating. If cared for and maintained properly, a set of fixed dentures should last a lifetime.

Denture Stabilization Implants

Using a permanently implanted metal stabilization framework, removable dentures are kept securely in place even while talking or eating. Just one minimally-invasive surgery is required to install this framework. While the framework keeps the removable denture securely in place when needed, the denture can also be easily removed by the wearer for easy cleaning and then quickly reinserted for regular use. A set of removable dentures is typically replaced every three to eight years.

Our Happy Patients

"Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Front end staff helpful in setting an appointment for me even with a few reschedules on my part. They also helped me to budget, prioritize, and make my treatment plan attainable financially. Many of my 20 yr old fillings had reached the end of their life so there is plenty of work to be done. The hygienist and Dr. Morgan both took time to explain the x-rays and treatment plan so that I understood the state of my dental health. Top notch staff and facility."

"Been going about 13 yrs. They're very empathetic to my fear of dentistry procedures, stemming from childhood. The staff, from the front desk, to dental assistants, nurses, and Dr Morgan are all a pleasure to do business with. My son, has been going there about 4 years, currently age 5, and he has never left afraid. Grandridge truly does a fabulous job making us both feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you, and well done Grandridge Dental! We love you and your staff!"
